May 2022 - Security Foundry are returning for a third time to the Chester Business Show, and this time as its IT Security Sponsors. Organised by Hashtag Events who are one of the UK and Ireland’s largest business event organisers. They deliver around 20 live face to face business shows a year and welcome around 12,000 unique attendees a year with over 1,600 companies exhibiting so far.
We met with some 400 business attendees on Thursday 19th May at the Crowne Plaza Chester and provided overviews of our packaged cybersecurity services for local small to medium sized businesses and organisations.

May 2022 - Security Foundry were delighted to be a confirmed exhibitor at CYBERUK 22, the UK Governments flagship cybersecurity event. Our presence was to represent and showcase the very best of effective cybersecurity solutions from the world's leading vendors that we work with everyday here in North Wales, and deliver solutions to a wide range of organisations across Wales and the UK.
The NCSC presented a programme of compelling, interactive and inspiring sessions from Wales’s largest exhibition venue, the International Convention Centre (ICC), Newport. CYBERUK has become a key date in the calendar for thought leaders in cyber security and technical professionals from the UK and around the world, with previous conferences taking place in Liverpool (2017), Manchester (2018) and Glasgow (2019).
Building on the success of 2021’s virtual event, keynote speeches were streamed on the
CYBERUK YouTube
channel in order to maximise accessibility for all. Held over two days, CYBERUK 2022 was attended by more than 1500 delegates, integrating cyber security leaders with technical professionals, strengthening the cyber security community. It will provide a key opportunity for the whole cyber security community to reconnect, discuss business needs and review the changing threat landscape.

Security Foundry signs the Armed Forces Covenant
April 2021 - Security Foundry have worked closely with a number of ex services personnel who have taken up a civilian career in cybersecurity after serving their country. To better support them we have signed the Armed Forces Covenant. We will seek to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, by promoting the Armed Forces, pro-actively supporting the future employment of veterans, supporting future employees who are volunteer leaders in military cadet organisations, supporting Armed Forces Day, Reserves Day, the Poppy Appeal Day and Remembrance activities and offering a discount on our professional services that we deliver to members of the Armed Forces community and other organisations who have also signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant.
Security Foundry hosts event at Emerging Tech Fest
February 2021 - We were delighted to be invited to and speak at Emerging Tech Fest and held our own event called 'Working from home? How to stay in touch and stay secure'. We covered a wide range of areas including corporate responsibilities, user education, identity management, privileged users, end user devices, protecting yourself from scams and BYOD policies. Using practical examples and meaningful insights gained from working with organisations right across Wales both before and during lockdowns, we informed a wide range of attendees and provided them an interesting debate on what you can do to safely work from home, stay in touch and stay secure.

November 2020 - Through our membership of the North Wales Regional Skills Partnership we have been invited to participate and support Bangor University's employability week. We will be offering our expertise and advice to students and recent graduates regarding what types of skills employers in technology organisations are looking for in the modern workplace today, and exploring what opportunities and choices are available for graduates when leaving University.
Security Foundry hosts major online event at Wales Tech Week
July 2020 - With more than 100 events and nearly 5000 attendees from 12 countries, we have been proud to be part of the first-ever Wales Tech Week, a virtual festival that took place between 13th – 17th July. Wales Tech Week
announced Lee Waters MS, Deputy Minister for the Economy and Transport as its keynote speaker. The inaugural event was organised by non-profit organisation Technology Connected, the representative body of technology in Wales, to bring together the technology community and showcase the depth and strength of Welsh technology.
The ‘open to all’ virtual festival featured a range of panels, roundtables and presentations from leading figures in technology on topics such as Cybersecurity, Blockchain, IT and across sectors such as Fintech, manufacturing, digital and more.
Our own event was called 'Defend Yourself in an Increasingly Hostile Digital World' and was part of the extensive cyber security track running throughout the week.

at FinTech Connect in London. FinTech Connect is where large teams from major financial institutions go to make informed buying decisions on the latest innovations on the market, and where FinTechs come to accelerate dialogues with digital buyers with responsibility across digital transformation, payments, financial security, regtech, cyber security and blockchain. The 2019 event was held on 3-4 December at ExCeL London and brought together 6,000+ of the fintech community to share best practice, showcase new products and solutions and shape financial services of the future. We look forward to returning next year.
Security Foundry launches CYBER SUMMIT WREXHAM
November 2019 - Security Foundry delivered our inaugural CYBER SUMMIT WREXHAM event on 26th November with our hosts Moneypenny. With over 100 local and regional businesses in attendance we had a packed house and a long waiting list. We started off proceedings with networking in a superb setting and then heard a series of informative talks and presentations from 10 regional experts including Moneypenny, Wrexham Glyndwr University and NatWest Bank amongst many others. We were proud to launch and deliver North Wales' leading cyber security event of the year and look forward to returning again in 2020. Security Foundry attends IBM Security Summit London

- Security Foundry were privileged to attend the 2019 IBM Security Summit London held at IET London in Savoy Place on 1st May. The theme this year was based upon The New Rules of Security with keynote addresses from the NCSC, NHS Digital, UK Power Networks, Carphone Dixons Group and many others. We met with IBM Thought Leaders in Security and networked with many senior figures in Cyber Security leadership roles, and we attended a number of workshops and breakout sessions to gain the latest briefings on where IBM as world leaders in Security are taking their customers with their partners in 2019.
Security Foundry delivers Tech Talk at Wrexham Glyndwr University

- Security Foundry were invited in to speak to students of Wrexham Glyndwr University's MBA programme to give them an insight into the ways in which businesses are working to tackle the business challenges in IT and cyber security. We were thanked for our talk by Dr Jan Green, Reader in Teaching Learning and Student Success at Wrexham Glyndwr University. Dr Green – who was recently appointed a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy – said: “Hearing direct from industry professionals really helps to shape our students’ knowledge of the contemporary business world."
Security Foundry welcomes former UK Government Minister and MP to offices

- We welcomed Ian Lucas, Wrexham's now former MP, to our Security Foundry offices on 8th February. Ian has previously served as Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Department for Business, Innovation and Skills) and worked closely with the ongoing Digital Government Inquiry. Data privacy, social media, hacking and businesses acquiring appropriate cyber skills - to cope with new threats - are topics Ian focused upon whilst serving in Parliament. Ian served in various committees and we were privileged to share our thoughts on these subjects from a business perspective, our growth plans for the future and what we do for local businesses across North Wales.
